KPV, admitted to the cell

The reading list

Transport, tissue and materials

I’d begin at PepT1’s awkward double role, then return to the earlier uptake experiment. The materials studies become much more interesting in that order.

Colon experiments involving PepT1

The mouse colitis-associated cancer paper puts PepT1’s double role in view. The earlier uptake study connects transport with inflammatory responses in cultured cells and colitis in mice. The separate mouse-colitis study adds recovery, tissue inflammation and the MC1R-deficient animals.

For the family connection, the alpha-MSH and related-tripeptide review is a useful companion. It is a review of experimental literature.

Materials and epithelial cells

The materials sequence runs from KPV stabilization in a hydrogel to a double-network gel in mouse colitis, with targeted oral nanoparticles and the KPV/FK506 preparation supplying different constructions and comparisons.

The fine-dust keratinocyte study and bronchial epithelial-cell paper move the investigation beyond intestinal tissue. Both concern experimental human-derived cell systems.
